When it comes to modern job-hunting, nothing beats the [internet](http://www.statista.com/topics/1145/internet-usage-worldwide/). A survey by [Pew Research](http://www.pewinternet.org/2015/11/19/searching-for-work-in-the-digital-era/) has revealed that 79 percent of Americans used online resources and information during their most recent search for a job. Non-digital techniques are still relevant, however, with 66 percent of respondents saying they used connections with close friends or [family](http://www.statista.com/topics/1484/families/) to find a job. Employment agencies and ads in print publications are losing relevance with only 32 percent of American job-seekers using them during a recent search for employment.
